To ensure that you get the most out of your private lesson, we’ve put together a list of things you should prepare before our session. This guide will help create a productive and enjoyable environment for both you and your dog.

Things You Should Have Ready

  1. First and foremost, it’s essential to have a device with a reliable internet connection. This will allow us to communicate seamlessly and ensure that you can follow along with the training exercises without any interruptions.

  2. Next, find a fairly quiet space where you can train your dog. This area should have enough room for you to move around and for your dog to engage in the activities we will cover during our lesson. A calm environment will help minimize distractions and enhance your dog's focus.

  3. Having great treats on hand is crucial as they will motivate your dog throughout the training process. Choose high-value treats that your dog loves, or if appropriate, have their favorite toys ready for engagement and playtime. High value treats means something "small, soft, and stinky", not just Milk-Bones but a training treat like Lucy "Hip to be Sqaure', Bil-Jac, or even pieces of hotdog about the size of an M&M.

  4. Additionally, please gather any training equipment that may be applicable for your session. This could include items such as a leash, crate, or platform. Having these tools ready will facilitate the training exercises we will be working on together.

Optional Items to Consider

  1. While not mandatory, there are a few optional items that can enhance your virtual training experience. If you have a tripod or stand for your device, it can help provide a stable view during the lesson. This way, you can focus on your dog without having to hold your device.

  2. Wireless (Bluetooth) headphones can also be beneficial, as they allow you to hear our instructions clearly while keeping your hands free to train your dog effectively

    .

  3. Lastly, consider having something to take notes with. Jotting down key points during our session can help reinforce what you learn and serve as a reference for future training exercises.

By preparing these items ahead of time, you will set the stage for a successful and enjoyable training experience. We look forward to meeting you and your dog virtually and embarking on this training journey together!
